If you’re a history buff or just looking to visit a few historical sites, you’ve come to the right city.You may have seen it in the movies a dozen times, but there’s no picture or description that can do justice to the view at the Lincoln Memorial. The 19-foot marble statue, built to honor the 16th president of the United States, looks out over the reflecting pool and the U.S. capitol, making for a breathtaking scene. Along the reflecting pool viewers can visit the WW II Memorial and honor those who served and died during this most devastating of wars.
