DC is a great place to visit in the summertime and there’s always a lot going on. Whether you’re setting your ADT security Texas system or hopping on a jet at JFK, you can appreciate all the Capitol City has to offer for your family! Here are a few of our best suggestions for things to do with kids in DC…
Smithsonian: Not just any of the Smithsonians, though, the Air and Space Museum. There are tons of life sized replicas of planes, helicopters and gliders and your kids are sure to be awestruck by the massiveness of the building. Great for dads, too!
Native American Heritage Museum: This is a great way to get your kids some culture while strolling along the prettiest part of the DC Museum district. There are performances and even a few hands-on exhibits, and don’t forget to grab lunch!
Lincoln Memorial: A classic DC landmark, the Lincoln Memorial should not be missed by your kids. Explain to them about the “I Have a Dream” speech and talk about how all the monuments line up with the Capitol. There’s a lot of cool history here!
